Simple Christmas

Today I have a very simple card for me. It was weird to make a card with no coloring on it! It almost feels like cheating!

On Your Special Day

Last month my brother-in-law got married. So, of course, I had to make them a really fancy card!

I used the image called Love You Mostest from Tiddly Inks. I just love it! The perfect image for a wedding.

I colored it with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (palette below).

I shared some of my progress with the hair on Instagram. That was A LOT of hair to color.

After I colored with the SN Markers I went over the dress with the Crystal Clear Sparkle Pen. This made the dress so shimmery. It was just gorgeous.

On this card I also used the Crete-a-Card Florence Die and the Celebration Words Die Set, both from Crafter's Companion.

New ColourTint Pencils from Spectrum Noir

Hey everyone. Today I am sharing the card I made with the new ColourTint Pencils from Spectrum Noir. They will be airing on HSN today. These are brand new to SN and to me, these are Graphite pencils. Something I have never worked with before.

I will admit that my coloring didn't turn out exactly how I had envisioned it, but for my first time working with these I wasn't too disappointed. They were nice to work with, I look forward to learning more and getting better with them. The image is Foxes in the Pumpkin Patch from my digi stamp shop.

I used pencils just from the Primary tin on this card: Olive, Leaf Green, Caramel, Cafe au Lait, Maize, Rust, Deep Mauve, and Vintage Rose.

Other Supplies: Modeling Paste, Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst - Cowabunga Copper.

Check out HSN today for loads of new products from Crafter's Companion and to see more examples of projects colored with the new ColourTint pencils.

Festive Friday

Welcome to my first "Festive Friday" post. Hopefully this will be a weekly thing.

I always find myself scrambling at the end of the year to try to get Christmas cards made. So I have set a goal to make at least one Christmas card each week. Then when Christmas rolls around I'll have plenty of cards to send out. It won't help me much this year so I am still scrambling right now, but next year I'll be all set. I think. I hope.

For this card I used one of the images from the Winnie White Christmas Collection at Polkadoodles.
This one is called Christmas Shopping.  I just fell in love with these images when they were released.

I colored her with Spectrum Noir Markers (palette below). I made a shaped card and kept the rest of the card pretty simple. The background paper and ribbon are from my Christmas stash and the little tree ornament was made with my Silhouette.

Here is the color palette for this card:

Today I have a card that I made for a friend who is going through a hard time. I used the Remembering You Blooms Stamp Set from Unity Stamp Company and my Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

The sentiment I added was from the Vellum Toppers Stack by Crafter's Companion.  I love how this card turned out, I just think it's so pretty.

Kissing Frogs

I received this image, Kissing Frogs by Mo's Digital Pencil a while back. I have a little cousin who loves to catch critters in her yard. One day her mom posted a picture on Instagram of her kissing a little frog she found. I was excited to color up this card for her after I saw that.

I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (color palette below). A added some sparkle to the dress with a white gel pen and put some glossy accents on the crown to make it extra shiny.

Mari Ko Creations Digital Stamps New Release

Today I am sharing a card that I made with one of the newest images from Mari Ko Creations Digital Stamps.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 Floral Wreath

I printed the image onto Spectrum Noir Ultrasmooth Cardstock and used a plain circle die to cut it out.

I colored it with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers. (Palette below). I also printed out some flowers from the Floral Wreath 1 set and colored them the same as the flowers on the main image. I fussy cut them and used them to create a border across the bottom of the card. I added some metallic thread behind the main image which I popped up with some 3D foam squares.

As a welcome to the new digital image store, we are offering 50% all digital stamps until the end of the month.

Boo!

Hey there! Today I have the card I made for an entry in this month's Scrapper's Delights challenge.

I used a few different Scrapper's Delights images on this card: Ghosts, Halloween Door, and Scary Pumpkin 3.

I colored all of the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers (color palette below).  I added the spider webs in the upper corners because the card was looking a little too plain. They were cut on the Silhouette Cameo from Black Shimmer Cardstock. The Background paper is from Fun Stamper's Journey.

I made the card interactive by popping up one of the ghosts on a wire I twisted into a spring.
